The spectacular pure Polish son of *Gazal al Shaqab x *Eqviria by Pers has been leased for three years by Marsha Parkinson, Canterbury Farm at Melfield, in Maryland.

He has had an excellent show record in Poland as a yearling and two year old, including the capture of the National Championship Junior Res. Stallion honors, as well as other titles. *Equifor was in race training during his three year old year, and came to the United States shortly after returning from the track in August 2006.

Outstanding features of *Equifor are his exotic head, with tiny muzzle, refinement and excellent dish, plus huge luminescent eyes set well in a large eye cage. He has an exceptionally long neck with good hook and it is set very high on his deep, well angulated shoulders. He is very correct in the leg department, with good flat bone, and short cannons. The hindquarters are equally good, and he naturally drives up underneath himself.

The movement he possesses is breathtaking, for he moves with good lift, high, round knee snap and with power, cadence and effortlessness. He sets up naturally high in his neck, and the English potential is written all over him.

*Equifor has a Look-At-ME presence, and he does command attention. On the other side of the coin, he has a wonderful disposition with kindness in his eyes, plus a willingness to please with anything asked of him.

His sire is the world class *Gazal al Shaqab. This sire has made quite a mark in Poland, crossing exceptionally well with mares of both Kuhailan and Saklawi type. *Equifor is a blend of both phenotypes, as well as genotypes. He is influenced in his neck length by Kadjora, the lovely American bred bay mare who is *Gazal's dam. She is one of the all time beauty queens of the Arabian breed. *Gazal's sire, Anaza el Farid is straight Egyptian bred in the USA. Kadjora is more than 3/4 Polish breeding with a touch of Crabbet and American breeding. She traces in tail female line though the exceptional *Pietuszok daughter, *Edessa, to Ellora. This is the exceptional Kuhailan family descending from the tap root mare, Woloszka. Ellora, and full sisters Celina and Elzunia, have created a dynasty of highly significant horses throughout the world. From Ellora comes innumerable champions and top breeding horses including US National Champion Stallion, *El Paso, *Elizaa (dam of *Elimar and Elita), El Azrak (sire of Banat), Elewacja, Polish National Champion Mare and dam of *Elta, *Ellorus (sire of *Algerina), and Elektra (dam of *El Ghazi).

*Equifor's tail female also traces to this same family of Woloszka, hence both sire and dam are from the same line, making up a large part of the outstanding qualities of *Equifor. Full sister to Ellora, is *Elzunika. She, when bred to Faher, she produced the highly influential mare, Etna. Etna was the dam of significant sires Etap, Eternit, and *Etiw as well as the spectacular mare, Etruria winner of innumerable international Championships, and daughters, Etiologia, *Etyka and the gorgeous black mare, Equitana. Equitana was sired by Polish National Champion Stallion, *Aloes. She was bred to Palas, producing one of the two extremely rare black daughters of this stallion. This mare was *Equina, purchased by Mike Nichols. *Equina was bred in Poland to Pers, a line bred stallion of double *Bandos breeding. Pers was sired by Polish National Champion Stallion *Enoss (*Bandos x Enora) and out of the most beautiful *Bandos daughter, Pentoda. Pentoda was Polish National Champion Mare, and dam of *Penicylina, US National Champion Mare. This unique breeding of half siblings created one of the best Saklawi stallions of the *Bandos sire line. He proved to be a superlative stallion, siring beauty, type, correctness, and unusually good motion. Pers unfortunately died young, leaving few foals. Two of his most beautiful daughters are in the USA, one being *Perdela out of European Supreme Champion Mare, *Candela, both owned by Canterbury Farm, and *Eqviria, recently purchased by Pride of Poland, LLC. *Eqviria is a gorgeous silver white mare, of excellent conformation and motion. She is the dam of an excellent race mare, Eqvida by *Wojslaw, and other horses yet to be shown in Poland.

*Eqviria was bred to *Gazal al Shaqab in 2002, producing the exotic grey colt *Equifor in 2003. He was destined from the beginning to be a spectacular horse. He was bred to be. And he is.

In 2008, *Equifor will be shown by Greg Gallun. Greg is extremely enthusiastic about this young stallion, and we are all looking forward to see these two combine their talents in the show ring.

Monday July 17th. 2006 saw the much anticipated arrival of this very special young Arabian mare. It was a beautiful subtropical winter morning at Leichhardt and befitting the occasion as Demi stepped off the transport and was walked down the lane to begin her new journey with us. She was everything we had expected and so much more. Tall, elegant, ultra feminine, extremely beautiful and so reminiscent of her paternal grand dam, the ethereal Emanacja, halter Champion and dam of National, European and World Champions.

WA ROCKETMAN (ABBA BASKATIW++ x KRA LA TOSKA by MI TOSK) did indeed win his Western Pleasure Jr. Horse Class and also the Championship with Tommy Garland (his trainer) up!!! We are all very pleased for Tommy and extremely proud of the effort put forth by "Rocket" at their first outing of 2006.They attended the Spring All Arabian Classic in Lexington, KY. for this premiere of their wonderful partnership!

We would like to congratulate and thank Tommy and his wife Dawn Garland for making everything so pleasant for both his owner's (us) and our Jr. Stallion ("Rocket") and acknowledge the time and effort taken with him by Tommy and the outstanding staff of Garlands. this is just the beginning of what we hope will be a long partnership for Windridge Farm Arabians, Inc. and Garlands, Ltd.

Tommy has done Rocket the great honor of choosing him to be one of three horses he is taking to The Equine Affaire in Ohio April 6-9. We are looking forward to sharing this wonderful stallion with a totally new part of the country. As Ambassadors for the Arabian Breed, one could do no better than this sweet and willing young stallion with his world renowned talented partner. Also, we are thrilled to announce the first 2006 arrival of another tremendous colt , (name pending), by ABBA BASKATIW++ out of the multi-champion *Aladdinn mare, ALADDINS GENIE.

Client owned CF SO VAIN by Huckleberry Bey, has also foaled out a stunning filly by ABBA BASKATIW++ this month. Congratulations to Owner Trisha Davis, of Windswept Acres Arabians on this superlative filly!

Next on the "arrival schedule" are client owned mare FR MIDORI, in foal for a May arrival of another ABBA BASKATIW++ champion-to-be and our Senior broodmare, KRA LA TOSKA will also be presenting us with a full sibling to WA ROCKETMAN and multi-champion sister WA MILLENIA BASK both by ABBA BASKATIW++ in May as well. We thank Owner Mary Batt for choosing this wonderful stallion for her precious mare.

Breedings are already underway, with mares coming in for ABBA BASKATIW++.

WA ROCKETMAN stands at Garland, Ltd. in Powhatan, VA. Both stallions are Nominated Sires and SCID Clear.

~ April 01, 2006 Zegas wins for Watching Hawk Arabians Just wanted to share a bit of exciting news for us from our farm...Watching Hawk Arabians!!!!!

Our wonderful Pure Polish yearling colt ZEGAS - *GANGES x ZABRYKNA by *GOLIAT, was shown tonight in Lexington, VA. He was Champion Sport horse in hand 3 and under colt, and was Jr. Champion Colt in MR halter!!!! Small show, but this is our first ever horse that we have bred and shown (Thank you Marsha P.!!!). He was shown under the trusted hand of Larry Jones, an incredible human being and horse trainer. We will send photos as soon as we get them.

To say the least we are VERY proud and very excited!


Watching Hawk Arabians~ March 26, 2006 Reining Championships Earned by Toskhara ArabiansCowtown Classic (Class A Show March 16-19, Ft. Worth, Texas)

Two Polish colts from Toskhara Arabians were Champion and Reserve Champion in Open Reining. These young stallions demonstrated the athleticism and trainability for which the Polish Arabian horse is highly regarded. They were trained and shown by Anthony Champion, Reining Trainer at Toskhara Arabians.

Champion, *TA GEORGIO (Druid X *Gloria by Eukaliptus) 6 year old bay, bred by Michalow State Stud, imported in-utero by Toskhara Arabians, 70.5 points.

Reserve Champion, *TA ETOILE (*Kordelas X *Eufalina by Pepi) 4 year old grey, bred by Toskhara Arabians, 69.5 points. *TA ETOILE was Top Ten in Futurity Reining at Scottsdale in his first show. He is securing a place as one of the top Futurity reiners in the country.
